How to generate random numbers
- Enter the minimum and the maximum. Both are included in the draw.
- Choose how many numbers you need and whether they can repeat.
- Press Generate or Enter. Copy the result, or generate again as many times as you like.
Fair, unpredictable numbers
Numbers come from your browser’s cryptographic random number generator (Web Crypto, crypto.getRandomValues), not from Math.random(). Every number in the range has exactly the same chance: random values that would favor some numbers are discarded instead of being cut down with a remainder, a common mistake known as modulo bias.
Nobody, including us, can see or influence the result, because the draw happens on your device.
With or without repeats
Without repeats, each number can come out only once, like drawing balls from a bag. That’s what you want for raffles, lotteries and choosing winners. You can’t ask for more numbers than the range contains: from 1 to 10 there are only 10 different numbers.
With repeats allowed, every number is drawn independently, like rolling a die several times, so the same number can appear more than once.
Ideas for using it
- Pick the winner of a raffle or giveaway by ticket number.
- Choose lottery or bingo numbers.
- Decide a random order for people, turns or tasks.
- Create samples, test data or random seeds.
The draw happens on your device
Numbers are generated in your browser and never sent to our servers. Nothing is saved: a new draw replaces the previous one, and closing the page erases it.
Frequently asked questions
Are the numbers really random?
They come from a cryptographically secure generator, the same kind used to create encryption keys. It is designed so that results can’t be predicted, even by someone who knows earlier results. That’s more than enough for raffles, games and statistics.
Are the minimum and maximum included?
Yes. A draw between 1 and 6 can give 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6, just like a die.
Can I use negative numbers or decimals?
Negative numbers, yes: any whole number between −1,000,000,000,000,000 and 1,000,000,000,000,000 works, for example from −50 to 50. Decimals are not supported.
How many numbers can I generate at once?
Up to 10,000 per draw. Without repeats, no more than the amount of numbers in the range.
Can I use it for a public giveaway?
Yes. Since draws aren’t stored anywhere, share your screen or record it while you press Generate so everyone can see the result.
